Film Expo India 2026: Manmeet Singh Champions Inclusion for Persons with Disabilities in Cinema
NEW DELHI — Speaking at Film Expo India 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, film educator and Founder of Showbizz Originals, Mr. Manmeet Singh, called for systemic inclusion of persons with disabilities across front-end and technical roles in the film industry.
Participating in the panel, “The Future and Scope of Work for Persons with Disabilities in the Film and Media Industry,” Singh stressed that true accessibility requires accessible film education, adaptive post-production tools, and disability-inclusive set environments.
“Cinema is a universal language, and talent knows no physical barriers. If we want our storytelling to be genuinely rich and empathetic, the industry must open its doors—both behind and in front of the camera—to persons with disabilities,” stated Mr. Manmeet Singh.
Organized as an initiative by renowned actor Mr. Vindu Dara Singh, Film Expo India 2026 brought together industry leaders, tech innovators, and policymakers. The session concluded with a collective call for standardizing accessible workspaces, progressive hiring policies, and structured mentorship programs across the media sector.
